Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Counter to provide timely and accurate inventory accounting while obtaining product based on need in our nationwide distribution network.

The role includes daily cycle counts, damage reporting, stock verification, and reporting. We offer a Monday–Friday shift at 3:00 PM, competitive benefits starting after 60 days, and paid holidays, vacation, and tuition reimbursement among other programs.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.
• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.
• Perform critical counts/shorts and warehouse out of stocks.
• Compile and submit daily out of stock/ship confirmation reports.
• Verify bill of lading and receiving quantity.

The Cycle Counter I provides timely and accurate accounting of inventory while obtaining product based on need.

Benefits you can count on:

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour.

• Shift: Monday through Friday with a 3:00 PM start time

What you’ll do as a Warehouse Counter:

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.
• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.
• Perform critical counts/shorts and warehouse out of stocks.
• Compile and submit daily out of stock/ship confirmation reports.
• Verify bill of lading and receiving quantity.
• Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
