Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Receiving Assistant for our Lockbourne, Ohio warehouse. You will support a busy team with carrier scheduling, PO receipts, pallet tagging, and timely communication of receipts to leaders while upholding safety and accuracy.

The role features a Sunday–Thursday overnight shift, at $19.50 per hour, with benefits starting after 60 days including medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA options, life insurance, 401(k) profit sharing, paid holidays, and more.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in distribution/warehouse environment preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office systems.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a functional level.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule of incoming carriers.
• Receive purchase orders and print pallet tags; coordinate with buyers, vendors and carriers.
• Communicate receipts of all products to leaders in a timely manner.
• Notify about no call/no shows and rescheduled shipments.
• Ensure shipments received in advance are communicated timely.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Pay rate: $19.50 per hour.
• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
• Start time: 10:00 pm until the end of production. Shift last 8-10 hrs.

What you'll do as a Receiving Assistant:

• Maintain schedule of incoming carriers.
• Receive purchase orders, print pallet tags, and work closely with buyers, vendors, and carriers as well as receiving teammates to ensure that the proper purchase orders are received according to the schedule.
• Communicate receipts of all products timely to appropriate leaders.
• Also communicate no call, no shows, and rescheduled shipments.
• Ensure that shipments received in advance are also communicated timely.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2 or more years work experience, preferably in the distribution industry.
• Experience with Microsoft Office systems.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
