Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Counter in Columbus, OH. You will perform cycle counts, damage reporting, and stock management in a cold storage environment with a 10:00 PM start time on Sundays through Thursdays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.
• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.
• Execute critical counts/shorts and identify warehouse stockouts.
• Compile and submit daily out of stock/ship confirmation reports.
• Verify bill of lading and receiving quantity.

The Cycle Counter I provides timely and accurate accounting of inventory while obtaining product based on need.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay rate: $21.00 per hour.


• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday


• Start time: 10:00 pm until the end of production. Once production is met, the shift is released.


• Position is located in a cold storage facility and requires prolonged exposure to cold temperatures.

What you'll do as a Warehouse Counter:

• Conduct daily location cycle counts and daily local purchase counts.


• Perform daily damage reporting and data sheet entry.

• Additional duties and/or special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.


• High School Diploma or GED preferred.


• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.


• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
