Job summary

Ashland University Bookstore is seeking a Full-Time 3rd Shift Custodian for the Student Dining area. The role includes cleaning kitchens, dining areas, restrooms, and common spaces, with duties like sweeping, mopping, and stock. Shift runs 6:30 p.m.

to 3:00 a.m., with every other weekend. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, reliable, a self-starter, and authorized to work in the United States. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required; prior custodial or floor care

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
Detail oriented, reliable, as well as a self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision.
Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Responsibilities

Sweep and mop the university’s Convocation Center kitchen and service area as well as the Eagles Nest kitchen and dining areas.
Clean exhaust hoods in both areas on a quarterly rotation.
Remove trash and recycling from facility.
Clean and stock restrooms.
Wax and buff floors on an annual basis.
Responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
Schedule varies in the summer based on conference groups.
Shovel snow and salt around entrance during inclement weather.
Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.
