Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a 3rd shift Custodian for Wisconsin Union buildings. The role involves cleaning and maintaining restrooms, dining areas, theaters, and related spaces on a 3rd shift schedule, with rotating off-days.

You will report to the Custodial Services Supervisor and be part of a safety-conscious team. Responsibilities include stocking supplies, ensuring safe access, and performing routine cleaning tasks and snow removal as needed.

Qualifications

• 3 month work experience required.
• High School Diploma preferred.
• Must follow safety rules and participate in safety training.

Responsibilities

• Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
• Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
• Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
• Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
• Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
