Job summary

Ashland University Bookstore is seeking a Full-Time 3rd Shift Custodian for the Student Dining area. The role includes cleaning kitchens, dining areas, restrooms, and common spaces, with duties like sweeping, mopping, and stock. Shift runs 6:30 p.m.

to 3:00 a.m., with every other weekend. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, reliable, a self-starter, and authorized to work in the United States. A high school diploma and a valid driver's license are required; prior custodial or floor care

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Detail oriented, reliable, as well as a self-starter and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Responsibilities

• Sweep and mop the university’s Convocation Center kitchen and service area as well as the Eagles Nest kitchen and dining areas.
• Clean exhaust hoods in both areas on a quarterly rotation.
• Remove trash and recycling from facility.
• Clean and stock restrooms.
• Wax and buff floors on an annual basis.
• Responsible for the general cleanliness and sanitation of the facility.
• Schedule varies in the summer based on conference groups.
• Shovel snow and salt around entrance during inclement weather.
• Any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor.
