Job summary

Saab is expanding its West Lafayette, IN facility and seeks 3rd shift Structural Assemblers to build the aft fuselage for the T-7A Red Hawk. Start date early December 2026 with paid on-site training in the Aerospace structures academy.

You will assemble per procedures, read drawings, use hand and power tools, train others, and contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Shift premium applies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years assembly or hand tool experience.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Follow standardized procedures with consistent quality.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage per procedures and requirements.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge.
• Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
• Complete functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Sign off when work is complete per specification.
