Job summary

Saab is seeking 3rd shift Structural Assemblers for our West Lafayette, IN facility to build aft fuselage assemblies for the T-7A Red Hawk program. Duties include assembling structures, reading drawings, training teammates, and contributing to a state-of-the-art production system.

Starting pay is $23–$25/hr with a $2 shift premium, and on-site training provided. Qualified candidates will read engineering drawings, use hand and power tools, and follow standard procedures reliably.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Ability to safely use appropriate hand and power tools.
• Commitment to standardized procedures and consistent quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble aircraft fuselage components per procedures and finalize installation.
• Train new team members and transfer knowledge of processes.
• Support daily continuous improvement focusing on safety, quality, cost and morale.
• Perform functional testing of assemblies and systems.
• Handle surface finishing tasks and sign off on completed work.
• Assist with training and mentoring of new hires.
