Job summary

Great Hearts Prairie View Lower School in the Dallas/Fort Worth area seeks a 3rd Grade Homeroom Teacher. You will guide students in a welcoming classroom, implementing Spalding Phonics, Singapore Mathematics, History, Science, and Literature, with an Assistant/Apprentice Teacher in the room to support you.

You will teach with the Great Hearts curriculum, uphold school culture, communicate with families, and participate in ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required for the lead teaching role.
• US work authorization is required.
• Employment is contingent upon successful criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance per state requirements.
• Travel locally for training and professional development opportunities may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned 3rd grade classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, creating thoughtful lessons and an orderly, joyful classroom.
• Provide academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address needs.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home–school partnerships.
• Participate in faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
