Job summary

Great Hearts Academies is seeking a Fifth Grade Lead Teacher for Archway Trivium Academy in Goodyear, AZ. You will lead a homeroom, delivering a classical curriculum and fostering curiosity and moral growth in students.

You will collaborate with an Assistant/Apprentice Teacher, engage families, and participate in ongoing professional development within a classical liberal arts framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.
• US work authorization is required, OPT/CPT candidates accepted.
• Certification is not required for general education.
• Employment contingent upon criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom.
• Provide academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, dress code, conduct, and safety procedures to maintain a respectful school environment.
• Communicate clearly with families, initiate conferences as needed, and foster strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate in life of the academy through faculty collaboration, events, duties, and ongoing professional growth.
