Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Gilbert, AZ is seeking a Kindergarten Lead Teacher for Archway Arete Academy, 4525 E Baseline Rd, Gilbert. You will create a welcoming classroom and guide students to build a love of learning aligned with the Great Hearts curriculum.

As a lead Homeroom Teacher you will work with an Assistant/Apprentice Teacher, foster a culture of truth, goodness, and beauty, and engage families through conferences and partnerships. Outstanding benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.
• US work authorization is required, but OPT/CPT candidates are considered.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
