Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Kindergarten Lead Teacher at Archway Trivium Academy in Goodyear, AZ. You will create a welcoming classroom, guide young learners in reading, math, science, and literature, and collaborate with an Assistant/Apprentice teacher.

You will implement Spalding Phonics and Singapore Mathematics within the Great Hearts curriculum, communicate with families, and participate in professional development to uphold our standards of truth, goodness, and beauty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role.
• Certification is not required for general education.
• All majors are welcome.
• US work authorization is required, but we do accept OPT/CPT candidates.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom.
• Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address needs in a timely manner.
• Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and ongoing professional growth.
