Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. seeks a store associate at our Lexington location. You will assist customers, stock shelves, and support checkout and recovery tasks to maintain a well-merchandised, in-stock store.

You will participate in truck unloading, planogram maintenance, and omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS, while following SOPs and safety guidelines. Evening and weekend availability required.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand and move around the store for long periods.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout with cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers in the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and store maintenance to stay well-merchandised and in-stock.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; act as a role model for Team Members.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
