Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago seeks a pharmacy operations professional to oversee the 340B program, manage purchasing and inventory, and reconcile records with contract pharmacies.

The role focuses on compliance, reporting, and process improvements to optimize resources and reduce costs. The ideal candidate will have a pharmacy operations background, 3+ years of experience including 340B/Medicaid, and Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration/Business, Finance, Pharmacy or related hard science field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years broad pharmacy operations experience including at least 1 year in Pharmacy purchasing and inventory management including 340B and Medicaid operations.
• Experience with pharmacy systems and analyzing and reporting data to drive improvement and solutions.
• Active licensure and certification as a Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates day-to-day and long-term purchasing processes, including purchase orders, ordering, product selection, and invoicing.
• Performs reconciliation of dispensing, purchasing, and billing records for compliance.
• Reviews patient eligibility determination system used at contract pharmacies.
• Identify 340B compliance issues and drive process improvements with leadership.
• Educates staff on 340B program and purchasing practices.
• Communicates 340B information to staff and leadership.
• Analyzes data and monitors drug purchases for optimal program use.
• Utilizes reporting tools to develop site-specific insights.
• Maintains information in pharmacy and inventory systems.
• Assists in research and evaluation to maximize quality and value.
• Other duties as assigned.
