Job summary

Wayland Union Schools is seeking an SEIU Aide to provide targeted academic interventions and push-in remedial support to students identified as at risk, as assigned by teachers. Attendance is an essential function of this position and the role begins with the 26-27 School Year.

This grant-funded position is subject to post-offer background checks under the collective bargaining agreement; candidates should be dependable, discreet, and able to work with technology and Google applications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience with 4th and 5th grade students.
• Discreet with communication and maintains confidentiality.
• Capable of following directives of professional staff.
• Dependable, punctual, and positive work history.
• Ability to utilize technology and Google applications.

Responsibilities

• Occasional supervision of students during lunch and outdoor recess
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the principal
