Job summary

Wayland Union Schools is seeking a part-time student support aide to assist with recess supervision, small group instruction, and behavior support during school days.

The role requires a high school diploma (associate preferred), confidentiality, reliability, and the ability to use Google apps. Work is 11:30 am–2:40 pm, about 15 hours weekly, through Oct 30, 2026, contingent on a background check via EduStaff.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with adolescents preferred.
• Discreet with communication and maintains confidentiality.
• Capable of following directives from professional staff.
• Dependable, punctual, and maintains a good work history.
• Able to utilize technology and Google applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise recess and lunch duties.
• Provide academic and behavioral support in 1:1 or small groups.
• Assist teachers in other areas as needed.
• Support building routines as directed by the Principal.
• Perform duties as assigned by administrator.
• Attendance is essential for this position.

Qualifications:

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Support building needs such as recess and lunch supervision
• Provide academic and behavioral support to students through one-on-one and small group instruction, behavior interventions, sensory breaks, and other individualized supports as needed
• Assist teachers in all other areas as directed
• Support building routines as outlined by the Building Principal
• Perform all other duties as assigned by administrator
• Attendance is an essential function for this position

Terms of Employment:

Student days, ~15 hours/week (11:30-2:40pm), now through ~October 30, 2026.

Contingent upon background check

Must be an active sub through EduStaff, unless retired
