Job summary

Wayland Union Schools is seeking a SEIU Aide to join our student-focused team. Provide academic interventions and remedial support to at-risk students as assigned by teachers; attendance is a core function; occasional supervision during lunch and outdoor recess.

This grant-funded position begins in the 26-27 school year and requires passing post-offer background checks; candidates should be dependable, discreet, and capable of using technology and Google applications to support instruction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred.
• Experience working with 4th and 5th grade students.
• Discrete with communication and maintains confidentiality.
• Capable of following directives of professional staff.
• Dependable, punctual, and positive work history.
• Ability to utilize technology and Google applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic interventions and push-in remedial support to students identified as at risk as assigned by teachers.
• Attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Occasional supervision of students during lunch and outdoor recess.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the principal.
