Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring a Wirer to assemble heater unit components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs. You will layout diagrams, drill/tap mounting holes, and wire thermostats while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Previous experience with electrical assembly and brazing is valued. The role involves standing, lifting up to 25 pounds, and working in a loud environment. This is an on-site position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• Demonstrated ability to read wiring diagrams and assemble electrical components.
• Comfort with manual tasks and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• Paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production order with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
