Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Wirer for the 2nd shift to assemble heater unit codes and fabricate components per work orders, blueprints, and engineering specs.

The role requires laying out electrical diagrams, mounting hardware, wiring thermostats, testing components, and collaborating with supervision to resolve assembly issues. Emphasis on safety and precision in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• One to three months related experience and/or training.
• High school diploma or GED as stated.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds; physical requirements listed.

Responsibilities

• Lays out diagram for electrical installations according to wiring specifications.
• Drills and taps holes in specified locations for mounting control units.
• Attaches breakers, relays, connectors, bus bars, transformers, and insulators.
• paints product as necessary.
• Installs and wires Thermostats and other options.
• Fabricates bussing, and solders connections.
• Tests and adjusts electrical components.
• Discusses errors in diagrams or production orders with supervision or engineering to clarify assembly problems.
