Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Production Associate for 1st shift in the United States steel/wood fabrication environment. You will fabricate component parts for final assembly of windows, operate hand/power tools, and read work orders and measurements.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and a willingness to work in a fast-paced setting. Benefits include day-one medical, dental, vision, and other plans where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be authorized to work in the US
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
• Ability to carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Preferably with experience in manufacturing
• Preferably with experience reading a tape measure

Responsibilities

• Perform repetitive workstation operations to mass-produce windows, doors, and glass units
• May support the window operations in delivering, wrapping, loading, and unloading of materials or windows
• Perform any workstation function using hand or power tools, saws, welders, or routers
• Understand and carry out verbal instructions
• Read and carry out simple written instructions
• Read work orders, labels, and schedules
• Use a tape measure (will be asked to read measurements during interview), inspect, examine, and observe for product defects
• Make fraction and decimal conversions
• Operate any equipment needed to perform a job
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees
