Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Welder for 2nd shift to join our fabrication team. The role emphasizes producing customer orders on schedule, maintaining high safety standards, and working under supervision from the Operations Manager and Production Manager or Supervisor.

The candidate should have at least 1 year of welding experience, be capable of reading blueprints, and be comfortable with a variety of materials and welding positions, including aluminum and stainless steel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience.
• Ability to pass a weld test may be required.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and job specifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding tools and equipment.
• Able to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.
• Demonstrated reliable work history and dependability.
• Detail-oriented with precision and quality in all tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand and power tools used in welding.
• Perform welding on components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
• Layout, position, align, and secure parts before welding.
• Inspect workpieces and measure to specifications.
• Weld using aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and other alloys.
• Select and install torches, tips, filler rods, and flux.
• Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to prevent defects.
• Read engineering drawings and material safety data sheets for planning.
• Mark materials with job numbers and identifiers.
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed; perform basic maintenance.
