Job summary

Kloeckner Metals Corporation is seeking a Laser Operator to set up, operate, and perform basic programming tasks for laser production lines. You will ensure equipment runs efficiently, meets customer specifications, and adheres to safety standards.

Responsibilities include inspections, changeovers, and supporting a team to maintain high-quality outputs while upholding production safety policies.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret technical drawings, routers, and other production documentation.
• Proficiency in basic math and measurements, including use of hand-held tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to operate laser equipment safely and efficiently following safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production equipment for operation and assist with changeovers.
• Operate laser equipment to produce quality output.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to maintain standards.
• Update and analyze production control charts to ensure customer specifications.
• Assist in training others on production procedures.
• Maintain safe, clean working environment and report issues.
