Kloeckner Metals - Americas is seeking a Welder for the 2nd shift to perform welding tasks as part of a production team. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to company protocols while delivering customer fabrication orders on schedule.

The Welder will set up and operate welding equipment, read blueprints, and work with aluminum, stainless steel, and other alloys. Overtime may be required to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and job specifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding tools and equipment.
• High School diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand and power welding tools; weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Follow safety practices and maintain a safe work environment.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts before welding.
• Inspect workpieces for defects and measure to specifications.
• Weld with various materials (aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron).
• Select torches, tips, filler rods, and flux per welding specs.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Analyze drawings and specs to plan welding operations.
• Mark materials with identifiers; perform maintenance as needed.
• Fabricate products to match production specs.
