Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is seeking a 2nd Shift Warehouse Material Handler in Minneapolis, MN. You will move products from warehouse to trucks, picking accurately and packaging for shipment in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

This full-time role runs 1pm–9pm, Monday–Friday, with overtime as needed. Training for forklift operation and handheld scanning is provided, and the position offers comprehensive benefits including PTO, 401(k), and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Lift, push and pull objects up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Stand and walk most of the shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to operate forklift and handheld scanner with training provided.
• Work in varying warehouse temperatures and be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/materials safely using a forklift or manual equipment.
• Count, check and record items entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Use handheld devices to scan barcodes and labels to track inventory levels
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.
• Keep products organized and protected from damage.
• Follow procedures to maintain warehouse safety and security.
