Job summary

TIG, The Integration Group is seeking a Floor Lead to support daily warehouse operations in Pontoon Beach, IL. You will combine hands-on work with guiding teammates to ensure tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time.

You will train and coach staff, monitor workflow, and communicate issues to leadership while using WMS and scanners to track inventory and order status. This role emphasizes productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or production environment.
• Previous experience in a lead or informal leadership role preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory processes, and safety practices.
• Experience with WMS and basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform all core warehouse functions including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory handling.
• Provide day-to-day direction to team members to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Serve as the primary point of contact on the floor in the absence of a Supervisor.
• Assist with training and onboarding of new employees, as well as ongoing coaching for current staff.
• Monitor workflow and adjust priorities as needed to meet daily production and shipping goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety policies, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Use WMS and handheld scanners to track inventory and order status.
• Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and proper product handling.
• Identify and communicate operational issues, bottlenecks, or inefficiencies to leadership.
• Help in implementing process improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Check equipment for proper operation and report maintenance needs.
• Assist in resolving minor employee concerns and elevate complex issues.
