Job summary

JLL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Lake Orion, MI on the 2nd shift to maintain and repair manufacturing process equipment, HVAC/R systems, pumps, and building automation. You will report to the Facility and Operations Managers and ensure uptime, safety, and reliability of critical assets.

Role requires journeyman certification and hands-on experience with pumps, motors, hydraulics, and HVAC/R systems.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification required in HVAC, Electrical, Machine Repair, or Mechanical craft areas.
• Facility maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with pumps, motors, speed and feed systems, and hydraulics.
• Proficient in HVAC/R systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, indoor air quality, and temperature control.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with detail-oriented approach.
• Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, use hand and power tools, and work in varied environments.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and pre/post scheduled hours as needed.
• Available for call-in work 24 hours per day and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on manufacturing process equipment including thermal units with temperature and pressure control.
• Execute preventative and predictive maintenance on building systems and mechanical equipment.
• Maintain and repair HVAC/R systems and related components.
• Service and troubleshoot pumps, motors, speed and feed systems, hydraulics, backflow preventers, and gas/water meters.
• Manage building automation and monitoring systems for optimal performance.
• Maintain spare parts inventories to support maintenance operations.
• Complete work orders and PM tasks within required timeframes and report results.
