Job summary

Cardinal Staffing is partnering with a Lansing, MI facility seeking a motivated operator for stainless-steel fabrication, inventory control, and QA. The role includes hands-on work with raw materials, operating fabrication equipment, and ensuring products meet quality standards.

Shift options include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, Monday–Friday, with starting pay at $22/hour. Candidates should have a HS diploma and 2+ years in metal fabrication; forklift/crane experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of metal fabrication/manufacturing experience (stainless steel preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments of stainless steel from international suppliers.
• Verify quantities and quality against purchase orders and documentation.
• Safely unload and store raw materials using forklifts or overhead cranes.
• Maintain accurate records of imported materials and inventory levels.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and cut lists.
• Operate forklift, overhead, and other machinery.
• Package and prepare shipments.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
