Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Stainless Steel Welder Operator for the 2nd shift (3:30pm–2:00am, Mon-Thu with OT as needed). The role involves TIG welding stainless steel cylinders and training to perform hand-weld repairs, reporting to the SS Unit Production Supervisor.

Requirements include a HS Diploma or equivalent, ability to read blueprints, and experience as a Machine Operator I in Stainless Steel. A hands-on TIG competency test is expected; prior vocational training is helpful.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates TIG welding on stainless steel cylinders and components.
• Performs semi-complex machine set-ups and loads welder with parts.
• Monitors machine performance to meet production targets.
• Inspects welds to ensure compliance with blueprints and standards.
• Assists with training peers and maintenance diagnostics.
• Performs related duties such as assembly and packaging as directed.
