Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. in Wisconsin is seeking a 2nd shift supervisor to maintain high production, quality, and yields while keeping factors that ensure safety and compliance. You will lead hiring, training, and retention of the team, coordinate shifts, and ensure proper equipment operation and USDA inspections.

A strong work ethic and background in manufacturing are essential. Role requires some travel and the ability to work a 12:30 PM–10:00 PM schedule with occasional weekend work; benefits begin

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; related vocational/college courses preferred.
• Experience: 1+ year in manufacturing; supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication.
• Leadership: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel: Some travel is required.
• Preferred: Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment; budgeting familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, retain, and counsel the team on benefits, compensation, and policies.
• Guide team with stretches and rotate workstations during shifts.
• Check daily production orders for on-time fulfillment and accurate records.
• Ensure all workstations are staffed before production starts.
• Ensure machinery operates and USDA inspections are passed.
• Promote safety daily through meetings and practice.
• Oversee processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors.
• Provide ongoing education on quality.
• Perform other duties as needed.
