Job summary

Farmer Focus, located at the Acorn Facility in the United States, is seeking a Scale Operator to join the Production team. The role focuses on maintaining productivity and cost efficiency while ensuring customer specifications are met, directing a team, and upholding Farmer Focus policies and food safety programs.

The Scale Operator will perform data entry, operate production and office equipment, and handle paperwork with accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• General mathematical ability required to perform the job, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to operate production equipment and office equipment, including computer, email, scale, copier, fax machine, and 10-key calculator.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and in a timely manner.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors and associates, verbally and in writing.
• Must be able to work assigned days and shifts, including overtime and some weekends as required.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
• New team members must be able to pass a drug and alcohol post-offer and prior to the start of their employment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• The Immigration Reform and Control Act requires that verification of employment eligibility be documented for all new employees by the end of their third day of work.

Responsibilities

• Assure all procedures are followed to achieve high productivity in a cost-efficient manner while maintaining customer specifications.
• Direct and lead a team of employees while enforcing Farmer Focus policies and ensuring compliance with all food safety programs.
• Support employee performance development, safety, and work scheduling.
• Enter data using a keyboard and operate production and office equipment, including fax machine, copier, 10-key calculator, scale, computer, and email.
• Complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and on time.
• Read and understand English to identify items on paperwork.
• Communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, while conducting oneself with professionalism with supervisors and associates.
• Analyze and calculate data using basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Work assigned hours, including overtime and some weekends as required.
• Complete assigned tasks with accuracy and efficiency while effectively using time and resources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
