Job summary

Mohr Talent is hiring a Sanitation Manager in Lawrence, MA for the 2nd shift to oversee the sanitation department at a growing food manufacturing facility. This in-person role leads a team, ensures food safety standards, and drives continuous improvement.

You will coach staff, manage schedules, and respond to sanitation issues, with opportunities to impact safety, cleanliness, and quality across the production floor.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a food manufacturing or industrial cleaning environment.
• Comfort using a computer for daily reports, recaps, and documentation.
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, with flexibility to support other shifts as needed.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to work independently in a diverse setting.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to understand and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sanitation activities across the production facility, ensuring high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
• Lead, coach, and develop sanitation employees from onboarding through performance reviews.
• Build and manage work schedules while ensuring procedures are followed.
• Monitor production areas to address sanitation concerns before they become issues.
• Clean, sanitize, and disassemble/reassemble equipment per procedure.
• Respond quickly to sanitation calls and contamination events to minimize downtime.
• Promote safety and housekeeping culture among staff.
• Document goals, track progress, and correct non-conformities in quality programs.
