Job summary

Amrize is seeking a 2nd shift Driller to operate mobile drilling equipment at our Millville, WV quarry. You will drill blast holes, follow approved layouts, and maintain equipment per safety standards. The role requires 2–5 years of quarry experience, high school diploma, and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of drilling equipment operation in quarry/surface mining or similar.
• Must be able to work 2nd shift 1:00pm–3:00pm start with 8–10 hour shifts.
• Experience with rotary drill rigs preferred.
• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Mechanical aptitude for routine inspections and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile drilling equipment to drill blast holes per plans and schedules.
• Follow layouts, drilling patterns, and hole depths as directed by supervision.
• Position and operate drill rig to achieve accurate hole locations, depths, angles, and spacing.
• Conduct pre- and post-shift inspections; report hazards and defects.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling equipment and components as needed.
• Maintain drilling logs and production records; ensure safety compliance.
