Job summary

Amrize, a leading supplier of construction materials in the United States, has immediate openings for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic at the Millville Quarry in Millville, WV. You will install and assemble new machines and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.

The role requires technical aptitude, ability to read schematics, welding and fabrication skills, and a strong commitment to safety under MSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of experience in plant/industrial environment.
• Welding and fabrication skills preferred; ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Familiarity with MSHA safety regulations encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, screens, and other quarry equipment during overnight hours.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and repair plant machinery.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedule and service machinery.
• Keep maintenance logs and document repairs.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment safely.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to MSHA safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicate shift activities to day shift personnel and supervisors.
