Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Quarry Operator at the Portland Cement Plant CO to support safety programs and operate mobile equipment used in rock mining. The role requires mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy machinery on site.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma/GED and be able to work a two-shift schedule, with local travel. Amrize offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within North America.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
1 year of heavy equipment operating experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain the plant safety program through daily safety contacts and department safety meetings.
Operate mobile equipment to mine rock (rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks, etc.).
Perform mechanical maintenance checkouts and minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment.
Monitor and react to quality issues and adjust mining patterns as needed.
Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in team activities.
Promote safety policies and PPE use, and foster a culture of safety.
