Job summary

The Advance Group is seeking a Production Team Leader for the North Toledo automotive manufacturing site. You will coordinate daily production, support team members, ensure quality, and keep operations running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have strong leadership, 4+ years in production, and the ability to drive improvements in methods, equipment performance, and efficiency. Overtime and various shift demands may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in production or manufacturing.
• Prior leadership, team lead, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, product quality, and production procedures.
• Ability to coach employees, communicate expectations, and coordinate work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address production issues effectively.
• Familiarity with barcode scanners, quality checks, defective product procedures, and material handling processes.
• Associate degree or technical school education preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor production employees to build an effective, self-sufficient team.
• Assist the Production Supervisor with coordinating daily activities, assigning tasks, and meeting production schedules.
• Communicate work instructions, production priorities, safety rules, and quality expectations to team members.
• Monitor production output and verify automotive components meet quality standards and specifications.
• Help resolve production, equipment, and workflow issues to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency.
• Assist with machine setup and adjustments as needed.
• Maintain time and production records and help coordinate staffing and production schedules.
• Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment performance, quality, and efficiency.
• Help address attendance, performance, and other personnel concerns in coordination with the supervisor.
• Assist with material inspections, barcode scanning, shipment verification, and staging procedures as needed.
• Ensure team members follow safety requirements, company policies, and established quality procedures.
