Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with Windows OS.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day activities and communications within the department.
• Trains and develops departmental team and leads Continuous Improvement Programs.
• Responsible for training and development of all new hires and temporary employees.
• Supervises work output and effectiveness for team members.
• Ensures accurate training of employees in job performance and expectations.
• Partners with cross-functional teams to meet throughput and quality standards.
• Documents progress of new employees and assists with 90-day evaluations.
• Observes progress and performance of operators and related staff; makes recommendations.
• Tracks and posts daily departmental metrics as set by Plant Management.
• Maintains PPE inventory and assists with other duties as required.
