Job summary

CJ Schwan’s in Ohio is hiring a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift to lead manufacturing associates at the Gahanna plant. You will direct production and packaging on lines, ensure USDA requirements are met, and collaborate with the USDA on-site to maintain food-safety standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), 4+ years in food-manufacturing with 2+ in supervision, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and SAP experience; robotics knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4+ years related experience in food manufacturing with 2+ years in supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• SAP experience beneficial.
• Knowledge of robotics used in production.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to read safety rules and write routine reports.
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs production and packaging on lines to meet USDA requirements.
• Interviewing and hiring qualified employees following EEO policies.
• Manages performance, appraisals, and disciplinary actions.
• Oversees safety, housekeeping, policy administration, and cost control.
• Adjust daily schedules to meet production needs.
• Coordinate with USDA on site for food safety compliance.
• Reviews QA and HACCP documentation.
• Monitors quality, usage, waste, counts and weights.
