Job summary

CJ Schwan’s is seeking a Production Supervisor - 2nd shift at our frozen pizza plant in North East, PA. You will lead manufacturing associates, ensure USDA and company standards, and drive safety, quality, and efficiency on production lines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 4+ years related work experience, with minimum 2 years in supervision.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• SAP experience is beneficial.
• Robotics knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to supervise line employees effectively.
• Strong communication and reasoning skills for a positive work environment.
• Ability to read/interpret safety rules and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Knowledge of USDA, FDA, and BRC regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs production, packaging, and bakery on production lines to meet USDA requirements.
• Interviews and hires qualified employees following EEO guidelines.
• Manages employee performance, conducts appraisals, and administers disciplinary actions.
• Oversees safety, housekeeping, policy administration, and cost control.
• Adjusts daily schedules to meet production needs.
• Coordinates with USDA on-site to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Reviews and signs off on QA and HACCP documentation.
• Checks product quality, usage, waste, counts, and weights.
