Job summary

AMETEK Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift in San Diego, CA. The role oversees multiple product-based manufacturing cells, focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost control.

You will lead a hands-on team performing electromechanical assembly and testing of power supply components. Responsibilities include coordinating with first shift leaders, driving throughput, maintaining standards, and supporting Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with 2+ years in leadership.
• Experience in electromechanical assembly and test.
• Strong MS Office and ERP proficiency.
• US Person eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction and leadership to the 2nd shift production team (Assemblers, Operators, Technicians).
• Coordinate with 1st shift leaders to meet customer deliverables and report on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing and Quality to meet customer expectations.
• Drive KPI performance on revenue, on-time delivery, quality, and overtime; implement corrective actions.
