Job summary

AMETEK Programmable Power is seeking a Production Technician for the 2nd shift in San Diego, CA. You will perform tests including manufacturing verification, engineering validation, and functional performance on production units, troubleshoot digital and analog circuitry to the component level, and log test data for each unit.

Responsibilities include calibrating, aligning, and performing final tests per drawings and data sheets, identifying fixtures, and documenting defects for root-cause

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years related experience; technician levels 3-5 vary by experience and scope.
• Electronic Technician Certificate or AS Degree in Electronic Engineering.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S. and access to export-controlled information and source code.
• Over-time availability.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment for production units.
• Calibrate, align, and perform final functional tests from specs and diagrams.
• Log test data including work order, model, serial, test status and failure mode.
• Diagnose and determine cause of defective assemblies; document defects for reproducibility.
• Troubleshoot to component level for analog and digital circuitry.
• Report increased trends in failures and support root-cause investigations.
• Perform physical inspection to ensure compliance with specs and cosmetic requirements.
