Job summary

RRD in St. Charles, IL is seeking a 2nd shift production supervisor to lead assembly and audit processes, guide employees, and ensure production specifications are met. You will coordinate training, enforce safety, manage schedules, and report improvements while collaborating with departments to meet deadlines.

You must have strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This role requires practical manufacturing experience and commitment to quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or preferred.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic software tools.
• Excellent communication across departments.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong mathematical and numerical skills.
• Ability to interact with a variety of internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes to confirm production specifications.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees and direct them to the appropriate manager.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and procedures; report problems to management.
• Inspect products and/or shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve machine setups, production samples, and shipments as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement.
• Coordinate production activities with other departments as needed.
• Provide training for new employees and contract workers to ensure safety and production requirements are understood.
• Ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and achieved.
• May oversee junior staff and review/audit work for accuracy.
• Maintain shift schedules in time and attendance systems.
