Job summary

RR Donnelley is seeking a 2nd shift supervisor to oversee production processes and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards. You will audit work, guide employees, and coordinate with other departments to meet specifications and improve efficiency.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and a track record in manufacturing environments. On-site work from 2pm to 10pm with competitive hourly compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing/operations environment.
• Proficient with technology including computers and software (MS Office, MAC word processing, spreadsheets).
• Excellent oral and written communication across departments.
• Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines and priorities.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and guidance to employees and audit work processes and products to confirm production specifications are met.
• Maintain positive and effective relationships with employees and direct them to the appropriate manager for policy questions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, policies and procedures; report problems to management.
• Inspect products and shipments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Review and approve machine setups, production samples, and shipments as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for continual improvement and coordinate production activities across departments.
• Coordinate or perform training for new employees, contract workers and guests to ensure safety, quality, and production requirements are understood.
• Ensure the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and achieved.
• May supervise junior staff and review/audit work for accuracy.
