Valmont Industries, Inc. is hiring for a 2nd shift grinder operator in Elkhart, Indiana. You will load machine programs, finish small part components with a hand-held grinder, and ensure material is processed according to shop drawings.

You will troubleshoot issues, maintain material traceability, and perform lean and housekeeping tasks to support on-time, quality production. A strong safety mindset and ability to work well with teammates are essential.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints/shop drawings and follow work instructions.
• Ability to read a tape measure to within 1/32”.
• Demonstrated strengths in interpersonal communication with coworkers and supervisors.
• Strong safety focus and attention to detail in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate a hand-held grinder to finish small part components.
• Load machine programs and process material per product orders and drawings.
• Troubleshoot operating errors and determine resolutions while maintaining traceability.
• Perform lean, 5S, and general housekeeping to support production goals.
