Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift to perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical production equipment. The role includes repairing electrical systems and PLCs, calibrating pneumatic and hydraulic components, and maintaining maintenance records.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of electro-mechanical installation and troubleshooting experience, with the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings and work with PLCs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; Military training and/or Technical School preferred.
• 2-3 years of electro-mechanical automation system installation & troubleshooting experience.
• Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery including motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3-phase power, and industrial controls.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems in production equipment and plant systems.
• Repair electrical equipment, control circuits and PLCs; troubleshoot relay logic and PLCs.
• Calibrate and repair pneumatic and other mechanical systems; maintain maintenance records.
• Read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings; work with Microsoft environment.
