Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, including PLC-controlled equipment and the plant's main power supply.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of electro-mechanical automation experience, strong PLC troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; military training and/or technical school.
• 2–3 years electro-mechanical automation system installation & troubleshooting experience.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting ability with practical mechanical & electrical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair on electrical and mechanical systems, including main power supply.
• Repair buildings and equipment as needed; troubleshoot and fix electrical equipment and control circuits.
• Calibrate and repair pneumatic systems to ensure optimal production.
• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
