Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Winston-Salem, NC, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic for 2nd shift to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment and plant infrastructure.

You will troubleshoot PLCs, tune hydraulic and pneumatic systems, read electrical/mechanical drawings, and perform preventative maintenance while ensuring safety and reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 2-3 years electro-mechanical automation experience.
• Experience with motors, relays, drives, and 3-phase power.
• Strong PLC troubleshooting and ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.
• Must be computer literate in a Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and extensive preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Repair production equipment and plant systems, including main power supply.
• Troubleshoot electrical control circuits and PLCs; replace faulty components.
• Maintain records of scheduled maintenance and work performed.
