Job summary

Penguin Random House LLC in Westminster, MD seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00pm-11:00pm). The role supports a large, heavily automated fulfillment center with extensive conveyor systems and Goods-to-Person workflows, performing preventive maintenance and responding to equipment issues to keep the operation running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in facility maintenance is desired but not required.
• Proven skills in electrical and/or mechanical trades are helpful.
• Experience in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry or welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.
• Must be at least 18 years old, have basic PC skills, and be able to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to, maintain and promote the company's safety policies.
• Perform maintenance duties such as work orders, preventive maintenance and CMMS tasks.
• Troubleshoot conveyor systems and other key equipment; PLC knowledge is desirable but not required.
• Seek growth through training and certification programs.
