Job summary

United Petfood is hiring a Production Operator I - Packaging for the 2nd shift in Decatur, AR. You will set up and operate packaging equipment, monitor performance, and ensure quality and sanitation throughout the shift.

Hours are 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a $1.50 shift differential on top of $19.00 per hour. You will join a team focused on safe operations and GMP compliance in a fast-growing food production environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 35-50 pounds to move ingredients and finished product.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic hand tools.
• Experience with or ability to learn computerized equipment (scales, controllers, computer-based interfaces).

Responsibilities

• Set up, start up and operate packaging equipment per production schedule.
• Monitor equipment, perform minor adjustments and basic maintenance.
• Conduct sanitation to meet quality standards.
• Complete re-work as needed and document packaging steps.
• Maintain logs and records of packaging activities in RedZone system.
• Perform in-process quality checks on samples to ensure correct packaging.
• Disassemble/reassemble line equipment for inspection or deep cleaning.
• Changeover/setup for next packaging run and obtain line clearance.
• Follow safety policies and GMPs across tasks.
