Job summary

Peet's Coffee is hiring for a 2nd shift machine operator responsible for operating grinding and packaging equipment according to the production schedule. This role requires basic math and computer skills, strict adherence to safety and GMP standards, and attention to quality records.

The position offers overtime opportunities, a collaborative team environment, and growth potential within a global coffee company. Base hourly pay ranges from $20 to $22 with eligibility for bonuses.

Qualifications

• 1 year of production experience as a machine technician or machine operator.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to work overtime as needed, including Saturdays
• Ability to uphold and follow safety, food safety, and production quality standards
• Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and reliability
• Works well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, accountability, and a willingness to assist others as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate grinding and/or packaging equipment to process coffee according to the daily production schedule
• Follow all workplace safety, food safety, and quality standards, including GMPs and standard operating procedures
• Perform quality checks, complete required production and quality records, and ensure product meets specifications
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate safety, quality, or production issues to leadership; report equipment issues to Maintenance/Engineering
• Support productivity and efficiency while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Assist with training and guiding team members and temporary workers at the workstation as needed
