Peet’s Coffee, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate automated and manual packaging equipment, inspect bulk containers for quality, and maintain a safe, clean production area in Alameda, CA.

This full-time, second-shift role offers a competitive hourly wage and opportunities to contribute to high-quality coffee production. Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and prepared to follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years old.
Ability to read and follow written instructions accurately in English.
Must be willing and able to work overtime as required, even on short notice.
Attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness and flexibility.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Operates automated and manual packaging machines including vertical packaging lines and sealing machines.
Transfers roasted coffee beans to the packaging area and portions out a variety of coffees.
Ensures seal integrity and residual oxygen levels for quality.
Prepares, maintains and verifies paperwork for Quality Assurance, food safety, shipping and traceability.
Assists maintenance as needed on equipment.
Maintains equipment and work area clean per standards.
Performs other tasks as assigned by manager or coordinator.
